The world came to a halt when it was announced at the end of March that longtime Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had died.

Hawkins was a terrific drummer with an even better singing voice, and it’s apparent that he left an indelible influence on everyone he met.

Before he died, the drummer apparently left a voice note with what may be considered his final words.

Perry Farrell, the frontman of Jane’s Addiction and the creator of Lollapalooza, has now shared a voicemail with what are believed to be the drummer’s final remarks.

It portrays the late singer in a frank light, revealing him to be the amazing friend everyone knew him to be.

The drummer of the Foo Fighters and Farrell were considered to be good friends. Farrell and his wife Etsy have shared the voicemail they heard from Hawkins the night before he died in order to pay tribute to their late buddy.

“Take care of each other,” he urges in it. And I’ll look after myself. In the meantime, I’ll see you in So Paulo. I adore, adore, adore you. “Relax and sleep well.”
